Second edition of Ooh Yes I Do! The ultimate gay & lesbian wedding planner to be published in due course

IMG_6298I’m thrilled to announce that I’m working on a second edition of Ooh Yes I Do! The ultimate gay & lesbian wedding planner.  The book was self-published in 2013 and and I think the time has come to add up to date information about same-sex marriage to the original content. The first law providing for equal marriage was enacted in 2001 in the Netherlands. The UK introduced equal marriage in 2014 and many couples have since converted their civil partnership into marriage though, some couples have decided not to convert it.

As of 1st March 2017, equal or same-sex marriage is recognised in: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom (England, Scotland and Wales), the United States and Uruguay.

The book features stunning photography of same-sex weddings by Hannah Brackenbury. In 2013 Hannah shared over a 130 pictures with me and I was very grateful to the couples who gave their consent to have their photography featured in the book. Only 50 of the 130 photos made it into the book and the new edition may include more photos of the same couples from Hannah’s fabulous back catalogue.

Alternatively, the book is in need of corrections and updates which makes the revision necessary. Revised books keep their original titles and are often published as new editions. The revised edition of Ooh Yes I Do! will be called a second edition.
