Richard is a published and self-published author living on the south coast of England.
Richard writes in several categories and genres; food & drink, fiction, and LGBT. He is passionate about cooking and schnauzers and is the co-organiser of the Brighton & Hove Book Fayre.
In 2013 he was diagnosed with coeliac disease and had to follow a gluten free diet. Learning to adapt, shopping, checking ingredients and preparing food to follow a gluten free were initially challenging but, it was manageable with the support from Coeliac UK. Once informed and in control of the diet, staying gluten free and healthy is relatively simple at home, but it may prove challenging when dining out. Several years later he decided to write a cookbook for coeliacs and people who enjoy healthy cooking. In 2018 he self-published ‘The Gluten Free Mediterranean Cookbook’ including a wide range of naturally gluten free recipes from countries such as Greece, Italy and Spain.
In 2020 Richard founded ‘Gluten Free Consultancy’ providing guidance and advice to food establishments and, he also released a Kindle book version of the Mediterranean Cookbook (text only).
The Gluten Free Mediterranean Cookbook – paperback: £7.99/Kindle edition: £1.99 – available at Amazon and many other online retailers. The book is also available from deli L’Isola Buona in Newhaven (East Sussex).
You can also order signed copies directly. Just send Richard a message to discuss and he’ll drop them in the post for you.
